Kigezi’s Newly Elected Leaders Grace Historic Museveni Swearing-In Ceremony at Kololo

The spirit of Kigezi is strongly represented today at the swearing-in ceremony of H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, as several newly elected Members of Parliament from the sub-region grace the historic national event.
Among the notable leaders present is Hon. Dr. Protazio Begumisa, the newly elected Member of Parliament for Ndorwa East, joining fellow leaders from across Kigezi in witnessing Uganda begin another important chapter of governance and national transformation.
Their presence reflects the growing influence and political voice of the Kigezi Sub-region in national affairs. The newly elected leaders arrive at a time when citizens are looking forward to stronger representation, improved service delivery, youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and economic transformation for their communities.
For many people from Kigezi, seeing their leaders participate in such a high-profile state function is a moment of pride and renewed hope. It symbolizes unity, responsibility, and the readiness of the region’s new leadership to contribute meaningfully to Uganda’s progress.
As the ceremony unfolds at Kololo, the newly elected MPs from Kigezi are expected to use their fresh mandate to champion the aspirations of their people and strengthen the region’s voice in Parliament and national decision-making.

The Mass was led by Fr. Tibemanya Ireneus, Dean of Rubanda Deanery, with co-celebrant priests, and animated by the faithful of Rubanda Deanery. In his homily, Fr.
