Hon. Dr. Protazio Begumisa, the Member of Parliament-elect for Ndorwa East Constituency, has called for tolerance and inclusivity in leadership, urging Christians and the general public to support individuals who present themselves for elective positions regardless of their religious affiliation. Dr. Begumisa made the remarks during the Rushoroza Kyanamira Parish Kampala Muruka monthly Mass held at MUBS Chapel in Nakawa, where he addressed congregants on the challenges associated with political participation and the need for unity within communities. In honor of Women’s Month and the Lenten season, the Women’s Apostolate of the Kigezi Kampala Catholics Residents Association (KKCRA) brought gifts, prayers, and a reminder that compassion knows no boundaries. This March, while the world celebrates the achievements and resilience of women, the KKCRA team chose to honor the month through service and solidarity. “Women’s Month isn’t just about recognition—it’s about lifting others, sharing love, and inspiring hope,” said one participant. The visit was more than charity—it was spiritual engagement. The women celebrated Mass with the inmates, shared prayers, and offered a listening ear. Accompanied by Fr. Cyiza Godfrey, the  caretaker, and guided by Fr. Joseph Sentomero, Catholic Chaplain at Luzira, the team navigat...

And the results were extraordinary. Ranking 4th in Kira Municipality with an impressive 85% First Grades, Muhika Junior Schools did not simply participate, it announced its arrival. From Vision to Victory When a school presents its first Primary Seven candidates, it is more than an academic exercise. It is a test of: 1. Leadership vision 2. Curriculum strength 3. Loyal to the Cause, Uneasy with the Course. An NRM Reflection on Liberation Day. by Davis Owomugisha

Liberation Day, 26 January 2026: A Loyal Question to a Victorious History By  Davis Owomugisha  Today, we raise the flag again. We sing the songs. We remember the bush, the sacrifice, the promise. But history has taught us something uncomfortable: commemoration without correction becomes ritual, not renewal. As an NRM member, I do not write this from bitterness, nor from opposition benches. I write this from ownership—because the house you love is the one you dare to inspect. Liberation was not declared so that Ugandans would merely survive. It was fought for so they could live with dignity. Yet in 2026, many citizens are not asking who liberated us, they are asking where the liberation went. We see it in: the anxiety in households that work hard yet remain poor, the fatigue of young people trained but not trusted, the anger of communities that feel unheard except during campaigns, the silence of institutions that once spoke for the common good. These are not forei...

“ Embaju Zoona Z’ensi”: A New Year Begun in Praise, Unity, and Hope. By editor  KKCRA Opens 2026 with a Powerful Word of God at Namugongo. The year 2026 was ushered in with joy, praise, and deep spiritual reflection as members of the Kigezi Kampala Catholic Residents Association (KKCRA) gathered for their first Mass of the year at the Uganda Martyrs Shrine, Namugongo – Pavilion A. It was a celebration marked not only by song and prayer, but by a renewed call to unity, healing, and hope. The opening hymn, “Embaju Zoona Z’ensi Zensi” by Msgr. John Barugahare, set the tone for the Eucharistic celebration. Its powerful refrain—“Embaju zoona z’ensi zareeba okujuna, kwa Ruhanga waitu”—echoed through the pavilion, reminding the faithful that all corners of the earth rejoice in the saving power of God. From the very first note, it was clear that this was not an ordinary gathering, but a sacred moment of recommitment as a community. As he began his homily,   Fr....
