KKCRA Choir member Irene Rwaboona officially sworn in as Woman Councillor for Nyarushanje Sub-county at Rukungiri District Council Joy and celebration have filled the KKCRA Choir fraternity after fellow member Irene Rwaboona was today officially sworn in as the Woman Councillor representing the people of Nyarushanje Sub-county at the inaugural sitting of the new Rukungiri District Council. The swearing-in ceremony is currently taking place at the District Council Hall in Rukungiri where newly elected leaders are assuming office to begin the 2026–2031 term. Rwaboona now joins the district leadership team and is expected to be deployed to various district committees as council business commences. KKCRA OFFICIALLY COMMENCES NOMINATION AND VETTING PROCESS FOR NEW LEADERS Kampala, Uganda – May 2026 The leadership of the Kigezi-Kampala Catholic Residents Association (KKCRA) has officially launched the nominations and vetting process ahead of the election of new association leaders scheduled for July 2026. In a communication released by the KKCRA Executive Committee, members were informed that a dedicated Nominations and Vetting Committee has been constituted to oversee a transparent, credible, and participatory electoral process aimed at strengthening leadership and service within the association. The committee has already commenced its work and elected Mr. Dan Batekereza as Secretary of the Vetting Committee. A spirit of reflection, gratitude, and  hope filled the hearts of mourners today as the Late Richard Behangana , a devoted catechist and servant of the Church, was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Nyakabungo, Rukungiri District, Kabale Diocese. Mr. Behangana, who passed away on April 28, 2026, at Mengo Hospital, was remembered not only for his years of service but for the depth of his faith and humanity. He was 66 years old, having been born on April 9, 1960. He leaves behind a wife and eight children. The Burial Mass, led by Fr.
