SILVER JUBILEE: SR. PROSSY NATURINDA MARKS 25 YEARS OF FAITHFUL SERVICE
Kyabirukwa, Isingiro District — April 26, 2026
There are moments when a life of quiet dedication speaks louder than words. Today is one of those moments.
All roads lead to Kyabirukwa in Isingiro District as believers, family, and friends gather to celebrate Sr. Prossy Naturinda (SOLGC)—a woman whose journey of faith, service, and leadership has touched many lives over the last 25 years.
Described by those close to her as “a servant leader with a heart for both God and humanity,” Sr. Prossy renews her commitment to religious life at St. Joseph’s Kyabirukwa Sisters House, marking a Silver Jubilee of unwavering devotion.
A Journey Rooted in Faith and Purpose
Born in Muyumbu, Kabale Diocese to Mr. and Mrs. Karegyesa, Sr. Prossy’s story begins in humble beginnings. Her education journey took her through Muyumbu Primary School, St. Francis College Kyanamira, and Immaculate Heart Girls Nyakibale.
Her pursuit of excellence did not stop there.
She advanced to Makerere University and Uganda Martyrs University, where she built a strong foundation in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)—a rare and impactful path that would later shape her service to both Church and society.
Sr. Prossy made her first religious profession in 2001 and her final vows in 2008, fully dedicating her life to God through the Sisters of Our Lady of Good Counsel (SOLGC), Mbarara.
Over the years, she has served in multiple roles across different institutions, including:
Rubanda Parish (Kabale Diocese)
Rwobugoigo Sisters Farm (Mbarara Diocese)
Rubindi Parish (Mbarara Diocese)
Office of the Superior General
Boniconcilii Girls School, Kyabirukwa
Office of the Archbishop, Mbarara Diocese
Each assignment, colleagues say, was handled with “discipline, humility, and a strong sense of mission.”
Currently serving as the Principal Information Technology Officer (PITO) at the Uganda Health Professions Assessment Board (UHPAB), Sr. Prossy stands as a symbol of how faith and modern expertise can work hand in hand.
She is also expanding her leadership journey, pursuing a Master’s Degree in Theology and Leadership at Gonzaga University, USA—a step that reflects her commitment to lifelong learning and service.
“We proudly associate with your achievement. Your life has been a blessing to many, and your service continues to inspire.”
Another well-wisher described her as:
“An extraordinary woman who has lived not for herself, but for God and His people.”
As she marks 25 years in religious life, today’s celebration is not just about looking back—it is about looking ahead.
Her story is one of resilience, faith, and purposeful service in both the Church and public life.
And as the celebrations continue in Kyabirukwa, one message stands clear:
Sr. Prossy Naturinda’s mission is far from over.
“May God continue to use you to serve His people and fill your days with joy,” a message echoed by many gathered today.
Happy Silver Jubilee, Sr. Prossy Naturinda!
