KKCRA Mourns the Sudden Passing of Rev. Fr. Dr. Arinaitwe (AJ), A Pillar of Faith and Justice

The Kigezi Kampala Catholic Residents Association (KKCRA) mourns with sadness the sudden passing our beloved member Rev.Fr. Dr Arinaitwe (AJ) a devoted priest of the Apostles of Jesus(AJ). 
We extend our condolences to the Rwomukubwe family, the Apostles of Jesus Congregation, Kabale Diocese and all the people of God.

Rev.Fr.Dr. Arinaitwe was widely known for nurturing spiritual growth, mentoring clergy and laity, and promoting reflective Christian living in our community and beyond. For the years he served as the Executive secretary of the Uganda Joint Christian Council(UJCC), he was a strong advocate for justice, consistently calling for ethical leadership and peaceful coexistence. During this time, he concurrently served our community through ministering at our monthly masses, visiting and offering spiritual nourishment to families and our community groups.


Even after his transfer to Jinja he often returned to our KKCRA community to serve the people of God. He served for several years as the chaplain of Burkina Deanery residents in Kampala.
He inspired generations of young people and clergy through his teaching, pastoral outreach, and personal example. A great priest of all times, mentor of many who believed in equity and service to humanity.
 
As we bid farewell to him, let us remember the warmth of his smile, the wisdom of his words, and the boundless love he shared with each and every one of us. May his memory serve as a guiding light, urging us to carry forward his legacy of compassion, unity, and unwavering dedication to the betterment of our community and the World. 
 
Rest in eternal peace. Your legacy and impact on our KKCRA community will forever remain.

SHOCK AND SORROW AS REV. FR. DR. SYLVESTER ARINAITWE PASSES ON. A heavy cloud of grief has engulfed the catholic faithful and the wider Ugandan community following the shocking and untimely death of Rev. Fr. Dr. Sylvester Arinaitwe Rwomukubwe, a devoted priest of the Apostles of Jesus (AJ) and a respected National religious leader. The sad news, confirmed by WOMESAM, has left Christians across the country in deep mourning, as tributes begin to pour in for a man widely regarded as a humble servant, a unifier, and a fearless voice of moral conscience. Fr. Arinaitwe hailed from Rubira Village, Kyanamira Parish in Kabale Diocese, where his journey of faith first took root. KKCRA September Mass at Namugongo Animated by Rubanda Deanery NAMUGONGO, UGANDA — September 21, 2025 The Kigezi Kampala Catholic Residents Association (KKCRA) community today gathered for their monthly Holy Mass at the Uganda Martyrs Catholic Shrine, Namugongo. The Mass was led by Fr. Tibemanya Ireneus, Dean of Rubanda Deanery, with co-celebrant priests, and animated by the faithful of Rubanda Deanery. In his homily, Fr. Tibemanya emphasized the need for prayer, justice, and faithfulness to God amidst the growing challenges in society.
