Kigezi Kampala catholics Residents Association (KKCRA ) Applauds Sr. Judith’s 47 Years of Dedication to God and Community.

KKCRA Honors “Mother General” Sr. Judith Byembabazi.
The Kigezi Kampala Catholics Residents Association (KKCRA) today paid a heartfelt tribute to Sr. Judith Byembabazi (DOLF), a devoted member of the Daughters of Our Lady of Fatima, in recognition of her extraordinary and selfless service to the Church spanning close to five decades.
The thanksgiving Mass and appreciation ceremony took place at the KKCRA home in Sonde, Namugongo, bringing together members of the association, clergy, and faithful who gathered to celebrate a woman many affectionately call “Mother General.” The liturgy was animated by Kitanga Deanery, with special leadership from Nyarushanje Parish, creating a deeply spiritual and reflective atmosphere.
Sr. Judith’s journey of service at St. Paul’s Seminary began in 1977 and continued uninterrupted until her retirement in 2025—a remarkable 47 years of dedicated ministry. Throughout this time, she served as the head of the kitchen team, a role that went far beyond preparing meals. With humility, discipline, and motherly care, she nurtured generations of seminarians who have since become priests, many of whom are now active members of KKCRA.
Speakers at the event described her as a pillar of quiet strength whose contribution to priestly formation cannot be measured in words. “She did not only feed bodies,” one speaker noted, “she nurtured vocations.” Her influence has stretched across generations—having cared not only for seminarians, but also for some of their fathers, and later witnessing the growth of their children and even grandchildren.
In August 2025, Sr. Judith marked her Golden Jubilee—50 years in religious life—an important milestone that reflects unwavering commitment, sacrifice, and deep faith. Her retirement from active seminary service marked the end of an era, but her legacy continues to live on in the lives she touched.
As a sign of gratitude and love, KKCRA members presented a special collection in her honor, which raised UGX 404,000. The gesture symbolized the appreciation of a community that has directly benefited from her tireless service over the years.

In her brief remarks, Sr. Judith expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and vocation, and thanked the KKCRA family for remembering and honoring her. Her presence at the celebration, despite her retirement, was itself a powerful testimony of her enduring bond with the community she served for so long.
The event concluded with prayers and blessings, with many attendees expressing deep admiration for a woman whose life has been a true reflection of service, humility, and love.

KKCRA  holds its regular gatherings every third Sunday of the month.
As KKCRA continues to grow as a community rooted in faith and unity, the story of Sr. Judith Byembabazi remains a shining example of what it means to serve God and humanity with a full heart.
God bless you, Sr. Judith.
