Fr. Tibemanya Urges Faithful to Use Resources Wisely at KKCRA September Mass.
KKCRA September Mass at Namugongo Animated by Rubanda Deanery
NAMUGONGO, UGANDA — September 21, 2025
The Kigezi Kampala Catholic Residents Association (KKCRA) community today gathered for their monthly Holy Mass at the Uganda Martyrs Catholic Shrine, Namugongo. The Mass was led by Fr. Tibemanya Ireneus, Dean of Rubanda Deanery, with co-celebrant priests, and animated by the faithful of Rubanda Deanery.
In his homily, Fr. Tibemanya emphasized the need for prayer, justice, and faithfulness to God amidst the growing challenges in society. He cautioned families against letting money divide them, noting that “what truly lasts is not profits or power, but justice, prayer, and faithfulness to God.” Drawing on the first reading from Prophet Amos, he condemned societal inequalities and dishonest practices, while calling Christians to remain steadfast in prayer.
Reflecting on the Gospel (Luke 16:1-13), Fr. Tibemanya explained that Jesus commends the steward’s intelligence, not his dishonesty. He urged believers to use earthly resources wisely as a test of true stewardship, reminding them that “while we live on earth, we are in charge of things which are not really ours—they are only lent to us.”
The Chairman of KKCRA, Mr. Naris Rwangoga, in his address, called for unity and active participation in all KKCRA programs. He thanked Rubanda Deanery for a vibrant animation and welcomed the youngest parish in Kabale Diocese, St. Barnabas Karujanga Catholic Parish, erected on September 14, 2025.
The Deanery Coordinator for Rubanda, Mr. Emmanuel Sunday, expressed gratitude for the opportunity given to Rubanda to animate the Mass. He called on Parish coordinators to mobilize Christians towards the 2025 Bishop’s Annual Appeal Fund (BAAF), whose proceeds will support the construction of the KKCRA Home at Sonde, Namugongo.
Hon. Mugumya Claire, Woman MP for Isingiro District, commended the Rubanda Deanery Choir and pledged UGX 1 million towards the Sonde project through Kabirizi Kampala group.

This year’s BAAF is decentralized to parishes, with each expected to raise at least UGX 10 million towards development initiatives. For KKCRA, the target is to mobilize resources for the construction of a multipurpose KKCRA Home complex at Sonde, Namugongo. The facility will serve as a center for community activities while also generating income from commercial hires. With 43 parishes in Kabale Diocese, the minimum target is UGX 430 million.
